Troubleshooting
inadequate netwrap tension during wrapping
- Adjust brake bars or/and feeding rollers
- Adjust feed rollers tension if necessary
The spreading bar does not spread properly
- Check and clean the bar
The core is slipping on the shaft
- In case of shaft fastening models, ensure roller core attachment
The net pulls to either side of bale
- Drive the feed evenly to the bale chamber
- Feed have been stick to rolls. Clean the rollers
- Make sure the net goes in straight line into the chamber. Center the roll in relation to the chamber
- Adjust feed rollers tension if necessary
Unevenly formed and / or excessive pressure in the bale
- Pay attention to the bale chamber filling. Drive slower especially in the final stage of baling.
Hourglass shaped bale. Less tension in the middle of the bale prevents net spread to the edge of the bale
- Decrease windrow width. Try to feed the material to the central part of the chamber
Dull or rusty knife
- Sharpen or renew knife
- Adjust brake for ensuring sufficient net tension during the cut
Unsuccessful cut, strings hang from the net
- Sharpen or renew knife
- Adjust brake for ensuring sufficient net tension during the cut
Hanging, loose threats due failed cut result
- Ensure the tension of the web during the cut. Adjust the brake if necessary. The net must be wired tight at the point of cutting
- sharpen or replace cutting blades
Insufficient net tension during the cut / The core is slipping on the shaft
- In case of shaft fastening models, ensure roller core attachment
- Adjust brake bars or/and feeding rollers
- Feed rollers need to be adjusted
- Dust the rubber drive roll and outside of net wrap with baby powder
Skewed feed of netwrap due misalignment feeding rollers.
- In case of shaft fastening models, ensure roller core attachment
Feeding tray models: Damage on the net caused by feeding tray
- Check and clean the tray
Damaged net rolls / Net wrap gets tangled to the cutting knife
- Check the knife function
- Sharpen or replace knife
- Adjust the net brake.
Chamber rollers have damaged the net
- adjust pto RPM`s properly while ejecting bale
Chemical products, such weed killers have come into contact with the netwrap causing UV protection to be destroyed from the net
- avoid using chemicals near netwrap
Bale damage occurence when bale is ejected
- check and make sure the baler is in the correct horizontal angle with respect to the tractor
- check the power take-off RPM`s when ejecting the bale. RPM in accordance by the baler manual
Not enough wraps of net
- Use atleast for two full wrap
- Check from the bale surface actual amount after making 2-3 bales
- Use more wraps with more challenging crops like corn stalks and straw
NOTE: When baling chopped straw, very high DM crop, very high density bales or in severe weather conditions, more wraps of net per bale will be required. The strength of the netwrap can be adversely affected by exposure to sunlight and rain when combined with crop, soils or external environment which contain high levels or iron, chlorine or sulphur.
Net brake set too tight
- Adjust brake settings
Increase tention / net wrap stretch during wrapping
